Caruso Shrugged, Part 1 Unpaywalled

Hello subscribers! I’ve unpaywalled the first part of my long piece about The Americana at Brand: Caruso Shrugged, Part 1, because paywalls are lame.

I think I’m going to generally keep things from behind the paywall for the most part, because this Substack is supposed to be about letting people read my stuff. But I hope that people might still consider subscribing for money if you’ve got any to spare, because I do still need the pesky stuff to live.
